In earnest, the last-minute rescue of Community Season 6 preceded immediate confusion that Yahoo even had an outlet for original content, let alone where to find “Yahoo Screen.” Now, the ailing corporation confirms that Screen is no more, in case you needed another gut punch that Community may have seen its last days.

Variety confirmed with the corporation that Yahoo Screen had been shuttered as of last week, noting that additional content like concert footage and additional content would be divided between the outlet’s digital magazines. Previously, it was revealed that the company took a $42 million (or rather $41.699 million) hit with its original series, failing to effectively monetize Community, Sin City Saints or Other Space.

So says Yahoo of the dissolution:

At Yahoo, we’re constantly reviewing and iterating on our products as we strive to create the best user experience. With that in mind, video content from Yahoo as well as our partners has been transitioned from Yahoo Screen to our Digital Magazine properties so users can discover complementary content in one place.

The very existence of Season 6 cemented that Community fans can always keep hope, but is the death of Yahoo Screen breaking the camel’s back? Which other series from the service deserved a better shake?
