New Amazon Prime Instant Video Releases: June 2015

If you’ve got one of those nifty Prime subscriptions, their Instant Video service is one of the great reasons to take advantage of it. Each month, Amazon releases a new batch of titles available to stream for subscribers, and June brings a handful of great classics along with a few more recent favorites. The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996): After being rescued and brought to an island, a man discovers that it’s inhabitants are experimental animals being turned into strange looking humans, all of it the work of a visionary doctor.

Murder of a Cat (2014): A man investigates the murder of his cat.

Nine Months (1995): When he finds out his longtime girlfriend is pregnant, a commitment-phobe realizes he might have to change his lifestyle for better or much, much worse.

The Paper Chase (1973): A first-year law student at Harvard Law School struggles with balancing his coursework and his relationship with the daughter of his sternest professor.

People Will Talk (1951): Dr. Noah Praetorius falls in love with Debra, a student who finds out that she is pregnant by her old boyfriend.

Repo: The Genetic Opera (2008): A worldwide epidemic encourages a biotech company to launch an organ-financing program similar in nature to a standard car loan. The repossession clause is a killer, however.

Roman Holiday (1953): A bored and sheltered princess escapes her guardians and falls in love with an American newsman in Rome.

Troll 2 (1990): A family vacationing in a small town discovers the entire town is inhabited by goblins in disguise as humans, who plan to eat them.

Words and Pictures (2013): An art instructor and an English teacher form a rivalry that ends up with a competition at their school in which students decide whether words or pictures are more important.

Life of Crime (2013): Two common criminals get more than they bargained for after kidnapping the wife of a corrupt real-estate developer who shows no interest in paying the $1 million dollar ransom for her safe return.

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014): Autobots must escape sight from a bounty hunter who takes control of the human serendipity: Unexpectedly, Optimus Prime and his remaining gang turn to a mechanic and his daughter for help.
