We get it -- Johnny Depp can put on a bunch of makeup and tease up his hair and suddenly he's an "offbeat" character. For a time, it was part of Depp's eccentric charm. But the way 'The Lone Ranger' performed at the box office, we're starting to think this approach is getting a little stale. After all, he has done it A LOT. This past weekend J.J. Abrams unleashed the second entry in his rebooted 'Star Trek' franchise, 'Star Trek Into Darkness.' Like swashbuckling Sulu wouldn't have improved things by 100%.
