Obviously, ‘The Avengers’ has been a huge hit for Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. Massive, even. And a hit movie of that size and scope deserves a hefty DVD release, right? But even with our inflated expectations, we can’t believe the details on the "Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled" Blu-ray collection. It’s going to blow your mind.

Due out in stores sometime later this year, the set – according to Amazon – will be a 10-disc set that will include Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D cuts of Whedon’s blockbuster, as well as discs for the five Marvel movies that led up to ‘The Avengers.’ Here are the specifics, from what the site knows so far:

• Marvel’s The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray)
• The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray)
• Iron Man (Blu-ray)
• Bonus Disc - “The Phase One Archives” (Blu-ray)
• Collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Here’s what we don’t know about the set, though: The release date, and the retail price. Both are pretty important, as we’re assuming most who are interested in buying an ‘Avengers’ Blu-ray probably own the two ‘Iron Man’ movies, ‘Captain America,’ ‘Thor’ and ‘Hulk.’ But for a first-timers looking to amp up their collection, this set could be ideal.

Amazon promises to inform you when the product will be made available, so “Like” their page and sign up for notifications (if you aren’t already a member). Will you grab this massive set, or are you planning on just grabbing a single ‘Avengers’ DVD when they hit shelves?
