After the announcements of Jena Malone joining the cast of 'The Hunger Games' sequel 'Catching Fire' as Johanna and Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee, word on the street was that Lionsgate had their sights set on Melissa Leo for the role of Mags. Well, not anymore. That casting void has been filled with a -- believe it or not -- 'Sex and the City' alum Lynn Cohen.

The actress, known to the hardcore fans of the HBO show as Miranda's nanny Magda, will have a different kind of kid to look after now. In the book, Mags is an 80-year-old former Hunger Games champion who previously coached the (still-uncast) tribute Finnick Odair. For 'Catching Fire,' she pulls a Katniss and volunteers as tribute for the next installment of this televised bloodbath, known as the Quarter Quell, to save Finnick's love Annie Cresta from entering the arena.

Cohen's role may be considered a senior citizen, but don't ride her off. She may have a stutter and trouble walking at times, but fans of the book series already know that she plays an important part and ally for Katniss. Though, you'll have to wait to find out her fate.

But who will play the guy Mags looks after? We've previously reported that the contenders for the role of Finnick are rumored to be Sam Claflin from 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' Taylor Kitsch and Armie Hammer; though, we have to be patient as well for that news.
