An already impressive cast for the upcoming Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has gotten even more impressive. Colin Farrell, currently confusing people on Season 2 of HBO’s True Detective, has signed on to play a wizard in the film, where he’ll co-star with Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller and Alison Sudol.

Farrell will play the role of Graves, a wizard who crosses paths with Newt Scamanger (Redmayne) as he travels through New York City. The film, which is set in the 1920s, starts in New York as famed “Magizoologist” Scamanger heads out across the globe and document the magical creatures of the world.

While the film is only loosely based on the book of the same name (many of the characters were created specifically for the film) and is described as neither a prequel or sequel to any of the Harry Potter films, many of the Potter creative team is returning. J.K. Rowling herself wrote the script, David Heyman is again producing and David Yates, who directed the last five Potter movies, will return to direct this film.

Fantastic Beasts is the first part of a planned trilogy, but it’s not yet clear if Rowling or Yates will return for subsequent installments.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in theaters on November 18, 2016.
