Although many fans would agree that the third season of AMC's 'The Walking Dead' ended with a bit of a whimper, the trailer for the fourth season has arrived and gotten us excited all over again. Straight out of Comic-Con 2013 (read our coverage of the show's panel right here), the trailer has everything you'd want from this show: sweaty people screaming in southern accents, zombies munching on the flesh of the living, and all kinds of harrowing and morally grey situations.

The events of the third season have put our cast of characters in a new position, growing their ranks but also increasing their responsibilities. Some time seems to have passed and Rick, Michonne and the rest of the crew seem to have become better than ever at the whole zombie killing thing ... but the threats just keep on getting bigger, the zombies keep getting hungrier and everything just keeps on looking grimmer. There is not a ray of sunshine to be found in this entire trailer, but that's way fans like it. It wouldn't be 'The Walking Dead' if things started to get better for these guys.

Anyway, the fourth season of 'The Walking Dead' looks like more of the same (for better or for worse) and it premieres on October 13. Set your DVRs.
