‘Django Unchained’ Reviews: Twitter Reacts to First Screening!

It’s no secret that we’re incredibly excited to see ‘Django Unchained‘ and we won’t beat around the bush: we’re pretty jealous of everyone who got to see the first screening of the finished film last night! Although it was technically a DGA screening (appropriate since this is Quentin Tarantino‘s first film as a member of that guild), plenty of press-types managed to get in too. When the screening was over, phones came out of pockets, Twitter apps were fired up and opinions were shared. What did everyone think?
In short, everyone seemed to love it. There was plenty of praise thrown Tarantino’s way of course, but many of the tweets specifically call out the performances of Christoph Waltz (who won an Oscar for ‘Inglourious Basterds’) and Samuel L. Jackson (a surprise, since he hasn’t figured into the marketing much at all). We’ve gone ahead and compiled many of the tweets below, so read on if you want to make yourself even more impatient for the film’s December 25 release date!
DJANGO UNCHAINED: holy shit. brutally hilarious spaghetti comedy does for business what Basterds did for war. Best American film of 2012.
