Just a few weeks before 'Godzilla' finally hits theaters, we're getting one final trailer for the film (dubbed the "Asia Trailer," mostly because it features Japanese subtitles). We've seen a lot of 'Godzilla' footage to date, but here we get our best sense of the plot of the film: Godzilla is awoken to defeat other monster(s) that destroying San Francisco.

We've known there is another monster in 'Godzilla' for some time, getting some brief glimpses at the new Muto species, but in this new trailer, we actually get to see Godzilla facing off with one of the winged beasts. From what we can gather so far, it looks like the government was creating the Muto monsters to use as weapons, but, as often happens in these types of movies, that got out of their control quickly. Enter: Godzilla.

Starring Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe and David Strathairn, the official plot synopsis describes ‘Godzilla’ as such:

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

‘Godzilla’ opens in theaters on May 16, 2014.
