We all got a real look at Godzilla in action when the first full-length 'Godzilla' trailer debuted on Tuesday, but even then a clear shot at the iconic monster was only teased, getting cut off in the final moments of the footage. With Empire magazine's latest cover, however, comes the now completely unveiled Godzilla in all his rebooted glory.

Frank Darabont, who came in for a rewrite on the 'Godzilla' script, described the re-imagined movie monster as a "terrifying force of nature," and that's exactly what this Godzilla is. With a nod to the original Toho films on which this one is based, Gareth Edwards' 'Godzilla' is something we can certainly get behind. Check him out:

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, who will both also co-star in 'The Avengers 2' as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, feature prominently in 'Godzilla' alongside Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche and more. The film, although described as more of a character-driven story disguised as a blockbuster, will also feature more than one monster, as glimpsed in the footage screened at last year's Comic-Con in San Diego.

More images of the beastie will surely hit the airwaves as we get closer to the film's release on May 16, but until then, enjoy the new Empire cover above and re-watch the 'Godzilla' trailer below.
