All of the trailers for director Gareth Edwards' 'Godzilla' played coy with the details, only showing off the bare minimum of the plot and brief glimpses of the King of the Monsters himself. You've got to commend the Warner Bros. marketing team; they're exceptionally good at teasing us. However, one of the film's biggest surprises has just been revealed and probably not in the way anyone involved with 'Godzilla' was hoping or expecting.

Yep, a new toy shows off a major component of the film that's been left out of the trailers, but that we've known about since last year's Comic-Con. If you still want to go into the movie knowing as little as possible, this is your chance to turn around.

Godzilla isn't the only massive monster stalking the world in the upcoming film, and a new play set (via Total Film) reveals our first look at the beasties. We're sure the final design is far more impressive than his plastic counterpart, but the images below should at least give you a basic idea of his shape.

In a nutshell, he looks like the monster from 'Cloverfield' and a pterodactyl had a baby. It's not a strong iconic design, but that's surely intentional. The classic, simple Godzilla is going to make mincemeat of his more modern-looking adversaries.

'Godzilla' stomps into theaters on May 16.
