It’s not surprising to see a television spot for a critically acclaimed movie claim that it’s the “Best Movie of the Year,” through the use of blurbs either provided by, or lifted from, critics. But, in recent years, with the proliferation of the superhero movie genre, there’s been a trend to be the “Best Superhero Movie.”
So, based on these television spots alone, what exactly is the best superhero movie or the best Marvel movie of all time? It appears it’s pretty much all of them.
'The Avengers' is the best superhero movie of all time.
'Iron Man 3' is only the best 'Iron Man' movie ever.
'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' ups the stakes again, declaring it's one of the best superhero movies of all time and even better than 'The Avengers,' which makes it the best because 'The Avengers' was the reigning champ up until now.
'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' scales it back down, only declaring itself the best 'Spider-Man' movie.
'X-Men: Days of Future Past' doesn't just declare itself the best superhero movie ever, it does so in dramatic fashion, giving each individual word its own chance to shine. So this is officially the best ever, right?
So, that's pretty much settled now. But, wait, here comes 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' which is now the best Marvel movie ever.
Anyway, it's all so confusing as to what's the best ever and what's not. We made the quick video above that might help clear all of this up, or at least help us determine just how "Epic" all of this really is.
