Whether you think 'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' is gonna be one of those epic supernatural action flicks with lots of crossbow-slinging action, or the first biggest disaster of the new year, its premiere will soon be upon us. Before you make a snap judgement, why not check out the first two clips from the Jeremy Renner-leading storybook movie?

'Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters' imagines what life would be like for those two famous fairy tale siblings 15 years after they shoved that wicked witch into the oven. In this latest portrayal, Hansel and Gretel dedicate their lives to making sure no other child has to endure the same traumatic experiences by becoming witch hunters. Though the trailers have given us a lot of first impressions, the first two clips from the movie have debuted online.

In the first, Jeremy Renner's Hansel character comes across a shack that eerily resembles the same witch's cottage him and his sister encountered as children. Oh, and he also warns us what we've all assumed when encountering witches: "Whatever you do, don't eat the candy!" Good advice, Renner, but we're actually more into Famke Janssen's witchy role. In the second clip, the 'X-Men' star channels her Phoenix persona from 'The Last Stand' in her first encounter with Gretel, played by Gemma Arterton.
