As Laurence Fishburne says in the new trailer for John Wick Chapter 2, the titular assassin is not very good at retiring. Keanu ReevesJohn Wick is back for the sequel, and now it looks like he’ll stick around for a third film.

Director Chad Stahelski told Collider at New York Comic-Con this past weekend that a John Wick 3 is already in the works. “The studio has asked us to put our heads together and see if we can come up with something,” Stahelski said of a possible third movie. He added that he has some ideas for the third film after mentioning the bigger roles Ian McShane‘s Winston and Lance Reddick’s Charon have in Chapter 2. Could that mean John Wick 3 will be centered on the hotel owner and concierge?

That’ll remain a mystery for now, but we did get some new details on John Wick Chapter 2 over the weekend at the film’s Comic-Con panel. Stahelski and screenwriter Derek Kolstad revealed that the sequel takes place four days after the events of the first movie. It picks up right away since someone from John Wick’s past resurfaces – a person he made a blood oath with to get out of the hitman business. The panel also revealed how the movie turned into a Matrix reunion with Fishburne and details on Common‘s hitman.

John Wick Chapter 2 also stars Ruby Rose, who Stahelski told Collider will play a mute assassin in the movie, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, and Peter Stormare. The sequel opens on February 10, 2017, so go rewatch that teaser over and over for the next four months.
