"Let me just stress there was no penetration -- it was soft-core porn," said Jon Hamm about his previous job as a -- wait for it -- set designer for porn movies.

Like most actors just starting out, facing rejection and trying to make ends meet, Hamm needed a way of getting by and one of his college friends hooked him up with what he said was "the most depressing job [he's] ever done."

"Essentially, I had to move furniture around sweaty, naked people. It wasn't a great job but the money was useful."
