The last we heard from 'Jurassic Park 4' was that Universal had scuttled the previous June, 2014 release date, reportedly for script and turnaround issues. However, those who were afraid that the project was completely sunk have a reason to be excited again: 'Jurassic Park 4' appears to be officially back on track for a 2015 release.

The scoop comes from Coming Soon, who attended the 2013 Licensing Expo and saw a very familiar logo on a brand-new banner. Here it is:

Other than the metallic sheen, that's the universally known logo for the 'Jurassic Park' franchise. And below it? Yep, that's the year 2015. Although the banner is otherwise completely free of additional information (can we safely assume it'll be a summer release?), Coming Soon says that the Licensing Expo book states that the film will be shot in 3D.

So here's what we know: 'Jurassic Park 4' is seemingly aiming for 2015, will be shot in 3D, will be directed by Colin Trevorrow from a screenplay by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, and will presumably make some kind of return to Isla Nublar, the setting of the original film. That's not much, but it's enough to tide us over ... for now.
