Sure, we still have a lot of exciting films to look forward to in 2016, but it would be great if we could just fast forward to February 2017, when Keanu Reeves unleashes John Wick: Chapter Two and melts our faces off. Reeves is still at work on the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2014 action hit, but the actor says they’re already thinking of ideas for more potential sequels — maybe he can adopt an exotic bird that attracts a black market animal exchange. Just a thought.

While speaking with Collider at CinemaCon, Reeves said that he’s still finishing up John Wick: Chapter Two with director Chad Stahelski, which takes our favorite widowed, briefly retired hit man to Rome. Though the sequel doesn’t arrive until 2017 (life is cruel), Reeves says they have some ideas about future sequels:

I love John Wick. We had an amazing time making this story. I can’t say that we’re not geeked about continuing the idea and the character. We have some really cool ideas. We talk about what would be cool to take it to the next level.

Along with Reeves, the sequel features more familiar faces from the original film, including Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and John Leguizamo. They’re joined by Ruby Rose, Common, Peter Stormare and Reeves’ Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne.

Keanu Reeves returns in the sequel to the 2014 hit as legendary hitman John Wick who is forced to back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

John Wick: Chapter Two hits theaters on February 17, 2017.
