What happens when a group of LARPers (live-action role players) accidentally summon an actual supernatural threat while reenacting a Dungeons & Dragons-like scenario? All hell breaks loose. A new 'Knights of Badassdom' trailer has arrived, and it's got some good news for the long-gestating film -- it'll finally be released!

Stars Ryan Kwanten, Peter Dinklage, Summer Glau and Steve Zahn filmed 'The Knights of Badassdom' some time ago under director Joe Lynch. However, he and several of his producers were reportedly kicked off the project, and a different 70-minute cut was produced. Entertainment One announced (via the new trailer) that 'Knights of Badassdom' will finally be released early next year, though it seems to be the newer cut instead of Lynch's original vision.

From the official plot synopsis:

KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM follows three best friends (Peter Dinklage, Steve Zahn and Ryan Kwanten) and dedicated LARPers (Live Action Role Players) as they take to the woods to reenact a dungeons and dragons-like scenario fresh out of the mythical Middle Ages. Trouble arises after they unwittingly conjure up some serious evil in the form of a blood-lusting Succubus, from the pits of hell.

'The Knights of Badassdom' will be released on VOD February 11, 2014, though earlier theatrical screenings via TUGG will kick off January 21.
