While we've been hearing from star Channing Tatum for some time that 'Magic Mike 2' is in the works, even though original director Steven Soderbergh has since retired from making movies, now we've got something more official to go on: the film has been given a very delightful and appropriate title, and a director has officially been chosen to choreograph all those new dance routines.

Co-star Joe Manganiello revealed to Collider earlier today that 'Magic Mike 2' will begin shooting this fall, and hot on the heels of that announcement comes more official word about the film. According to The Playlist, the film will be titled 'Magic Mike XXL' because, well, you know.

Tatum had been working on the script and had even been in the running to take over directing duties. Co-writer and producer Reid Carolin was also considered a prospect to helm the sequel, but the director of 'Magic Mike XXL' will be Greg Jacobs, who has been Steven Soderbergh's first assistant director for many years, since way back in his early days on projects like 'King of the Hill,' and has also produced his films, including the first 'Magic Mike.'

Jacobs' credits include 'Criminal,' a remake of an Argentinian film, and 'Wind Chill,' a 2007 film starring Emily Blunt. He's also the creator, writer and executive producer of 'Red Oaks,' a new comedy series for Amazon. The pilot of that series will be directed by David Gordon Green.

And that's about all we know about 'Magic Mike XXL' for now, but we expect a more formal announcement regarding the sequel very shortly, as well as more info on returning cast members. Get your dolla dolla bills lined up, 'cause the boys are gonna be back soon ... and bigger than ever, apparently.
