Marti Noxon has written her fair share of film and television scripts. She's well-respected for what she's churned out over the years between 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' 'Mad Men' and the recent 'Fright Night' remake. Now Showtime is looking to take advantage of the popular screenwriter's talents as they tap her for an unlikely comedy.

The cable network is currently in the middle of talks to have Marti Noxon develop and write a comedy centered on none other than divorce, says The Hollywood Reporter. The whole troubling process will be shown through the viewpoint of four women in their forties but will be adding a considerable amount of humor to it. If you want to compare and contrast what Marti Noxon will be doing for forty-somethings in the same way that Lena Dunham is for twenty-somethings, women of all ages have quite the interesting show selections to choose from.

Showtime may be on this because they're dealing with losing a couple of their bigger shows, including 'Weeds,' so there's plenty of room in their time slot for new material. We've seen Noxon write episodes for several other television shows including 'Glee' and 'Grey's Anatomy.' We know she's got the comedy writing chops so we look forward to see what the famed writer can dish out now.
