Nintendo filed a complaint February against the owner of WiiU.com for the rights to own the domain. Nearly four months later, it seems as if they've lost the battle.

According to Fusible, Nintendo lost the case and will probably have to pay a hefty sum in order to get the rights to the domain. WiiU.com was originally up for auction before Nintendo filed their complaint, which could have been bought for less money than they'd probably need to pay out to the owners now.

Nintendo has faced similar circumstances before, back in 2006, when it bought out Wii.com. Though the price was never revealed, it is believed to have been anywhere between $5,000 - $3 million. It remains to be seen how much Nintendo will have to pay for WiiU.com.
