Vin Diesel Already Talking 'Riddick' Sequels?

EDIT

Universal Pictures

If there's one person that Universal Pictures loves to pieces right now, it's actor Vin Diesel. He's the face of a couple of their more popular action-filled franchises that they've made in the past fifteen years (starting with the 'Fast and the Furious' franchise), so why wouldn't they want to make more movies with him? And could more of those movies be 'Riddick' movies? Well, at least Diesel hopes so.

Within the span of one weekend Vin Diesel turned into high commodity for Universal Pictures when he starred in their surprise summer hit 'Fast Five.' So what did they decide to do? Make a new Riddick movie which is currently in the middle of production. And according to Diesel on his Facebook profile, this isn't the only Riddick movie that'll be made in the near future:

"The studio said the earliest they could release the new "Riddick" is in January... was hoping for 2012... but, it's on the horizon. P.s. I think they are liking what they are seeing... haha, cause they asked when both Underverse and Furya would be ready to make and release... haha... now that's a ways in the future but it is exciting."

Vin Diesel starred in two other Riddick films, the first being 'Pitch Black' and the second being 'The Chronicles of Riddick.' The untitled sequel is scheduled to be released at some point in 2013.
