Shawn Levy has proven many times that he can make successful movies, so it's no surprise that Paramount Pictures is looking to take advantage of the 'Real Steel' filmmaker's talents with their latest, titled 'Monster Problems.' And no, it's simply not just about monsters. It's a little more complicated than that.

The new spec script was written by Brian Duffield and is now in Paramount's hands. They have Shawn Levy producing it under his 21 Laps banner, but it's currently unknown as to whether or not he'll direct. Levy is currently looking to begin shooting 'The Internship,' the latest Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy next month. Aside from that, there's not too many other projects lined up for the director. It'd make sense if he ended up taking the helm of this movie, but we'll just have to wait and see.

'Monster Problems' is said to be a post-apocalyptic mixture of 'Zombieland' with 'Mad Max' containing a John Hughes kind of love story in the middle, says The Hollywood Reporter. At the same time this isn't the only project that Brian Duffield's contributed to lately that's picked up some momentum. The other script we're referring to is 'Your Bridesmaid's a Bitch,' with Eli Craig attached to direct, and the new Natalie Portman-starring 'Jane Got a Gun.'
