That is not Sigourney Weaver. And that is Sigourney Weaver. So what exactly is happening here? Turns out a fan of 'Aliens' (a really, really, really big fan) decided to create a hyper real silicone replica of Sigourney Weaver's head to "celebrate the feeling of nostalgia and evoke the memories of an era gone by." We're not sure exactly what that means but we do know this: creepy.

Let's get this out of the way first: this is insanely impressive. Sculptor Steve Scotts spent months painstakingly recreating Sigourney Weaver using photos and measurements and carefully calculating them to a life-size silicone head. It looks really real; "hyper-real" as it's being described. But that's exactly why it's so disturbing.

There is some serious uncanny valley stuff going on here because it looks so real but at the same point, we know it's not real. It's just foam on the inside. Also the eyebrowless Sigourney below is just freaking us out.

What exactly is going to be done with this bust, we're not sure (and frankly, we don't want to know) but somebody needs to get this guy a job at a Hollywood FX studio. If he can make something so lifelike out of a human, we'd love to see what he can do with some movie work and a big budget.

You can head over to Scotts' Facebook page to see some more making-of photos (sampled below), including some NSFW shots (yes, there's nipple).
