While we still don’t know much about the plot or new characters of Star Trek Beyond, we do know this: we’ll be able to see whatever happens in the upcoming film on the biggest screen possible, as Paramount has officially revealed plans to release the third Star Trek film in IMAX. Now, if they’d just tell us anything else about this movie…

Paramount, Bad Robot and Skydance have teamed with IMAX to release Star Trek Beyond on the very-very-big screen, with director Justin Lin adding:

IMAX provides a one-of-a-kind movie going experience to audiences all over the world. I am excited to bring the newest journey into the ‘Star Trek’ universe to its screens.

A perfectly acceptable press statement, for sure, though the release offers no other details about the actual film. Following Roberto Orci’s departure, Fast and Furious franchise vet Justin Lin was tapped to helm the sequel, with Simon Pegg and Doug Jung co-writing the screenplay.

Returning for the third installment are Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, John Cho and Karl Urban, with Kingsman: The Secret Service star Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba also on board. Elba is playing a new villain character created specifically for the film, though his fictional identity remains a secret.

Star Trek Beyond arrives on July 22, 2016.
