Star Wars: The Force Awakens isn’t the only new Star-centric franchise sequel on the horizon, though it is probably the only one you care about at the moment given how close we are (so close!) to the release date. That other franchise is delivering a new sequel next summer, and we’ll finally get to see the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond in front of The Force Awakens. Stars, stars, everywhere, stars.

As reported by THR, we’ll be getting a little Star Trek in our Star Wars when the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond arrives with Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18. And yes, you’re not the only one who suspects a J.J. Abrams connection — Abrams directed the first two Trek films and while he sat out on Beyond to work on The Force Awakens, his Bad Robot production banner is still behind the former.

So although they’re competing franchises, it’s a smart move by Disney and Lucasfilm to place the Star Trek Beyond trailer in front of The Force Awakens, particularly given that many Star Wars fans are also fond of Trek and vice versa. Hopefully the trailer won’t spark any actual Star Wars between those who tend to disagree on which is the superior franchise.

Directed by Justin Lin and co-written by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, Star Trek Beyond features returning stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana and Anton Yelchin, with Idris Elba as a mysterious new villain and Kingsman star Sofia Boutella in an unspecified alien role.

In addition to the Star Trek Beyond trailer, we’ll also see previews for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and The Huntsman: Winter War, as well as the first trailers for X-Men: Apocalypse and Independence Day: Resurgence — basically every major upcoming blockbuster with a colon in the title, except for Captain America: Civil War, apparently.

You can see all of these trailers and — more importantly — Star Wars: The Force Awakens on December 18.
