Super Smash Bros. Screenshot Highlights Dr. Wily’s Castle Stage

Super Smash Bros
Nintendo

The newest screenshot from the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. shows Mega Man villain Dr. Wily’s castle.

The screenshot was posted by director Masahiro Sakurai on the Super Smash Bros. community on Miiverse. In his post, he says, “Pic of the day. Uh-oh, someone’s observing from afar. That’s no good. The Yellow Devil will come flying in from the background.”

The Yellow Devil is a reference to the fortress boss back in the original Mega Man game. This boss could disassemble and reassemble himself, making for a very interesting fight. Here we see Pit and the Villager, looking on in anticipation. Our anticipation probably exceeds theirs, especially since we have to wait until next year to get a chance to beat down the Yellow Devil.
