'Thor 2,' dubbed 'The Dark World,' will see Chris Hemsworth return as Marvel's mighty God of Thunder to crush some new foes with his hammer, and the first trailer is said to drop next week on April 23 (according to the film's international Facebook page). In anticipation, Marvel has unleashed the first poster, and though it doesn't reveal much, it's definitely got our geek juices flowing.
Universal has announced they're making a sequel to 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' which means that either the first film was a sneaky success, or that studios are desperate for sequels. Regardless, the 2012 fantasy film's sequel is officially on the way, with plans to release it in 2015.
Director Ron Howard's 'Rush' debuted its first trailer not long ago, but now the US version has hit, featuring Chris Hemsworth and a whole of lot Formula 1 racing action.
We got our first extended look at Ron Howard's race car movie 'Rush,' starring Chris Hemsworth, clean shaven and looking like a younger Brad Pitt (sort of), through the first trailer. Well, now a new one is coming our way tonight, but before it does Universal has a new batch of photos to show you.
If 'Fast and Furious 6' doesn't satisfy your need for speed, there's another high-octane racing film on its way this year - the Formula 1 set pic 'Rush' starring 'Thor' himself, Chris Hemsworth. While it may not have as much action as 'Fast and Furious,' it looks like it's trying to offer something up a little more dramatic. Is it successful? Let's watch the 'Rush' trailer and find out.
Even though 'Public Enemies' wasn't his best effort, we'll always keep our eye open for whatever Michael Mann does next. Though he had bad... something with his HBO show 'Luck,' it looks like Mann is returning to the big screen for an untitled thriller with Chris Hemsworth set to star.
After select looks at 'Thor: The Dark World' from various set photos, the first official look at the upcoming 'Thor' sequel has finally surfaced in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. Though the 'Man of Steel'-covered edition includes a ton of new looks at some of the superhero movies on the docket for 2013, we still can't wait to see Chris Hemsworth pick his hammer back up for another battle.
The long-in-the-works remake of 'Red Dawn' premiered at Fantastic Fest the other day (check out our own Matt Singer's review here), but those eagerly anticipating the remake of the 1984 semi-classic will have to wait until November 21 to see it for themselves. If you just can't wait, Ain't It Cool News has premiered a new clip from the film, which you can watch for yourself below.
I've seen plenty of airbrushed actors in my time, but I don't know if I've ever watched an airbrushed movie before the new version of 'Red Dawn.' This remake of John Milius' conservative '80 classic strips away almost all of the material's political dimensions, turning a gonzo paranoid fantasy into just another slick action movie. The original was crazy and silly, but at least it was deeply felt. The new one scrubs and smudges the quirks away, along with anything interesting or edgy. It's pretty but plastic.
