In David Michôd's second full length feature film, 'The Rover' (his first was the surprise Australian hit 'Animal Kingdom,' which garnered Jacki Waver an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress), Guy Pearce is a khaki shorts-wearing misanthrope living in post-financial apocalypse Australia
Back in January, we brought you a teaser trailer for 'The Rover', the follow-up film from 'Animal Kingdom' director David Michod. It looked great. Today, we're back with the full trailer and news that, yes, it still looks great. So good, in fact, that it's an official selection of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
We don't envy the work Robert Pattinson has to do to shed the vampiric shadow the 'Twilight' franchise cast on his career, but the actor has done a remarkable job, so far. He's being smart and working with visionary directors like David Cronenberg on 'Cosmopolis' and David Michod (who directed the fantastic 2010 movie 'Animal Kingdom') on the upcoming film, 'The Rover.'
With the release of 'Iron Man 3' only a few months away, Marvel has begun rolling out various posters showcasing the highly anticipated film's robust supporting cast. Last week, we got a look at Don Cheadle in his Iron Patriot armor and today, we have a poster starring Guy Pearce, whose Aldrich Killian is still a big question mark. Check it out below!
The 'Iron Man 3' trailer. It's finally here, after a number of trailer teasers. And you get a good look and listen to Ben Kingsley's Mandarin, a taste of Guy Pearce's role in the film, and the sense that this is a film of scale, and that nothing is going to come easy for Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark.
Don't you just love how the 'Iron Man 3' folks keeping pelting us with tease after tease the day before we're supposed to see the official trailer? First it was the teaser to the trailer, which was unlocked only after everyone "liked" 'Iron Man' on Facebook, then came movie pics, then came the first look at Ben Kingsley as Mandarin, then came the first official poster for 'Iron Man 3,' and now... some more footage for you to enjoy!
Shia LaBeouf is trying hard to be a badass -- first with his music video where he shook his bojangles at us, and secondly with scoring the role in the upcoming action flick 'Lawless.' We did get a glimpse of him in the official movie trailer along with 'Dark Knight' alumni Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy, but The Weinstein Company recently released seven brand new character posters that gave us an even closer look at how the 'Transformers' star plans on embodying his new role.
It sounds like Robert Pattinson is coming out of his acting shell and taking on more challenging roles within the past year. Between 'Bel Ami' and David Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis,' we can't wait to see the 'Twilight' actor figuratively spread his wings with his latest set of career choices, which includes his latest movie, 'Rover.'
