In what amounts to the smallest film in Michael Bay's oversized career, we can't wait to see his 'Pain and Gain' for so many reasons. For one, there's Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson paired together, for another we're curious to see what Michael Bay will do with the source material (which, if you haven't read the article it's based on, you should). This new TV spot plays up the goofiness, which is interesting.

'Transformers 4' - the sorta sequel/reboot to the mega-franchise - is gearing up to shoot in Michigan this spring with Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor filling in for Shia LaBeouf. We haven't heard much about the film's plot (aside from the aforementioned "it's a sequel but it's also totally a reboot" notes from director Michael Bay) but today we have the 'Transformers 4' plot synopsis...and it sounds like pretty much all the other 'Transformers' movies.
Imagine, if you will, a world in which Mark Wahlberg played Captain James T. Kirk's father in the J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek' reboot. As it turns out, that's something that almost actually happened, but Wahlberg had a hard time grasping the concept.
While Seth MacFarlane was hosting the 2013 Oscars, his cinematic alter ego Ted appeared on stage as well with co-star Mark Wahlberg to present the sound awards. Wondering how they did that? Watch Ted and Mark Wahlberg together at the 2013 Oscars to see for yourself.
There are 8.2 million people living in New York City. Combine the population of Slovenia, Macedonia, Lithuania and you still aren't anywhere near what we've got. More importantly, why would you do that? New York is the capital of the world for at least a few more decades before China takes over. As such, those of us who live here can be excused for thinking that the power machinations in our city take on all the gravitas of Shakespeare or, as Chance Kelly (one of cinema's up and coming "that guy"s) in 'Broken City' calls it, an Italian opera.
When Seth MacFarlane was announced as the host of the 2013 Oscars we wondered whether MacFarlane would bring some of his more famous characters to the big show. Well we won't have to wait until February 24 to find out. Star Mark Wahlberg confirmed that he and "Ted" will appear together on stage at the 2013 Oscars.
'Pain & Gain' - which stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson - already feels like no other Michael Bay movie before it. Sure it's got the usual slick, lens-flared look, the girls in bikinis and dudes with guns but this movie feels more like a Coen Bros. movie on steroids. Check out the 'Pain & Gain' trailer below and you'll see what we mean.
It's hard to find two leading men more "Alpha Male" than Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe, so combing their two imposing presences in 'Broken City' should set off plenty of fireworks in the upcoming political/action thriller. The new 'Broken City' trailer has appeared online, and you can check it out after the break.
After this summer's surprise success of 'Ted,' it was no surprise that Universal was looking to make a sequel as quickly as possible, and if what Mark Wahlberg is saying is true, we may get it sooner than you'd think.
Michael Bay took a little excursion from the 'Transformers' movies to make his latest film, 'Pain and Gain,' and we've got a brand new official poster for the musclehead crime flick starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson.
