When 'Pitch Perfect 2' was greenlit, it was assumed -- or at least hoped for -- that stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson would return. The former led the first film, while the latter was its breakout performer. And if you're a fan of 'Pitch Perfect' you'll be happy to know that both are coming back for the sequel.
Despite its seemingly low-key release, 2012's 'Pitch Perfect' was one of the year's biggest surprise hits and most pleasant surprises, grossing $115 million worldwide and winning over even the most cynical of audiences. A sequel was a no brainer, but we've already been thrown a curveball -- original director Jason Moore will not be back and will be replaced by producer and star Elizabeth Banks, making her directorial debut.
Among the final broadcast networks to decide the fates of its fall 2013 offerings, ABC has good news for most of its newest sitcoms. The 'Wonder Years'-esque 'The Goldbergs' and Malin Akerman's 'Trophy Wife' have been given full season orders, while Rebel Wilson's critically-panned 'Super Fun Night' has been given additional episodes as well, and James Caan's 'Back in the Game' has struck out altogether.
Rebel Wilson's new TV show, 'Super Fun Night,' debuted on ABC this week. Produced by Conan O'Brien with 'State' and 'Stella' alum Michael Showalter co-writing and consulting, the show has all the talent it needs to succeed, but still falls flat. That's okay because shows often take a few episodes to find their footing. But that's not what everyone is talking about; instead, we're all focused on the one thing we shouldn't be: Rebel Wilson's weight.
ABC certainly waited late enough on a Friday night to move forward with its announcements but boy did they populate the 2013-14 pickup list. Not only will 'Once Upon A Time' spinoff "Once Upon A Time in Wonderland' move forward, but so too will Rebel Wilson's 'Super Fun Night,' the high-concept 'Mixology' from creators of 'The Hangover,' and a plethora of others. Preview all of ABC's new series inside!
Aca-heck yes! Universal confirms they're planning a 'Pitch Perfect 2,' and that news is so great that we don't even care that we can't see it for another couple years or so.
The ‘Pain and Gain’ promotional train has fully left the station: with the release of a new poster and a batch of images just the other day and now a couple of clips to get you pumped (pun intended) for the Michael Bay flick. Check out Rebel Wilson playing doctor with Anthony Mackie, and an unsuccessful kidnapping attempt after the break!
MTV has announced its next MTV Movie Awards host, and they did so in a most unusual way. Last night during the 'Jersey Shore' series finale (which you surely watched intently), the network aired an announcement commercial featuring Hollywood's "it" girl, Rebel Wilson. Watch the amusing ad after the break!
