There is a sense that David Cronenberg has gone soft. Sure, 'A History of Violence' had it's share of brutality, but the last couple films have not had the intense mind-games mixed with a smattering of sex and violence that marked Cronenberg's career until recently. And with his latest film starring Robert Pattinson, has the man gone soft? Think again... watch the trailer for 'Cosmopolis.'
Robert Pattinson's star continues to rise, as he moves on from the world of 'Twilight' into starring roles that have nothing to do with vampires and actresses who say their lines while biting their lip and looking at the ground. And as proof the brand new trailer for Pattinson's latest, 'Bel Ami,' has just gone online.
Summit Entertainment understands how to tease ‘Twilight’ fans.
First, there was a 13-second clip for the upcoming ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2.’ Then, as promised, the studio dropped a longer tease … which basically used footage from the initial 13-second video. And when I say longer, I really mean that the new teaser runs a scant 49 seconds, and hardly shows us much. Judge for yourself:
Later this year, Robert Pattinson will team with beloved genre director David Cronenberg for ‘Cosmopolis,’ an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s celebrated novel that casts the ‘Twilight’ sensation in a markedly different light. Don’t believe me? Then check out this racy, NSFW teaser that suggests Pattinson’s ready to blow a hole through his Team Edward image and take his career to new depths.
