Director Jonathan Glazer's 'Under the Skin' stars Scarlett Johansson as an apathetic alien named Laura, who uses her earthly female body to seduce men and lead them to their death. The film is an oft abstract and unnerving experience (especially in the wonderfully bizarre first hour), and when Laura makes a surprising decision, 'Under the Skin' shifts from examining ideas of subjective and intangible attraction to the tragedy of Johansson's femme fatale trying to claim her sexuality -- and her body -- as her own.

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' Review

Whereas Tom Hanks' Captain Phillips talked, finessed, sweated and went into shock to rescue his crew, Chris Evans' Captain America jumps onto a hijacked boat from a helicopter without a parachute. His liberation of a S.H.I.E.L.D. vessel captured by international terrorists involves flinging himself across the deck; a human pinball with terrorists as his easily neutralized bumpers. Make that a super-human pinball, because as much as Steve Rogers maintains his golly shucks good nature, he is, after all, a Marvel superhero and he's here to save the day in the most preposterous and camera-ready fashion that's possible. Welcome to 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'.

As the trailer says, mankind isn't ready for Scarlett Johansson's Lucy, and judging by the powers she's tossing around (both with her brain and her body) in Luc Besson's latest sci-fi action thriller, that's pretty accurate. Johansson steps out of the Marvel movie universe and finally gets some superpowers of her own, and she does not look like a lady you want to mess with.

Well, it's no solo Black Widow movie, but a super-powered Scarlett Johnasson? Where to do we buy tickets?
Between 'La Femme Nikita' and 'The Professional,' Luc Besson has a penchant for creating memorable female action heroes. He's looking to add to that roster with this summer's 'Lucy,' which casts Scarlett Johansson as a drug mule who accidentally swallows what she's transporting and finds herself gifted with superpowers. Um, yeah. Okay. We can get behind that premise.

Last month, Marvel head Kevin Feige confirmed development on a solo 'Black Widow' movie, but just a few weeks after that, Scarlett Johansson announced she was pregnant with her first child. While her 'Avengers 2' schedule was accelerated to avoid any conflict, it may impact any plans for the 'Black Widow' movie. Now, Marvel says they "don't know" if or when the movie will come out and that another female superhero could beat her to the punch.

With Scarlett Johansson's pregnancy recently announced, it's fair to say fans were a little worried (if only in the back of their minds) that her stake in the Marvel landscape could be lessened for the time being. But rest assured, she's more a part of it than ever before, and a new featurette delving into her Black Widow return in 'Captain America 2' shows she's just as badass.

If Marvel decided to stop releasing TV spots and trailers for 'Captain America 2,' we probably wouldn't complain. After all, we've been sold on this movie since the moment it was announced - we just want to know when we can get in line. Regardless, they've gone ahead and unleashed another lengthy TV spot and we've gone ahead and watched it. And it still looks really good.
