At least part of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman movie takes place during World War I, which would indicate that at least some of her solo adventure serves as a prequel. But before we get to that film, Gadot will make her debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where — according to new details — she’ll find herself pulled out of retirement to fight once again. In addition to the latest intel on Diana Prince, we also have some new images from the epic superhero film, including one that appears to tease DC supervillain Darkseid.

The Redcapes Are Coming in New ‘Batman v. Superman’ Trailer

As Sundance dominated the news cycle this morning, the superhero hype machine continued to grind along. This morning, it spat out a new trailer for the upcoming DC crossover tentpole Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it just might be the darkest (in terms of deficient lighting and overall tone) yet. The eternal philosophical struggle of men both Bat- and Super- rages on, incapable of finally resolving because both Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne are inside all of us. Henry Cavill’s ridiculous costume glasses: What do they symbolize? Man’s inability to hide his true self, always exposing his nature through non-conscious gestures? Or perhaps they are just a symbol of bad glasses?

New ‘Batman v Superman’ TV Spots Bring the War to Us

I honestly cannot believe they’re pronouncing that title “Batman Vee Superman.” When they announced that DC’s mega-hero tussle would be called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, I assumed it was just quirky branding, and I haven’t met a single person who didn’t call it “Batman Versus Superman” in casual conversation.

‘Suicide Squad’ Assembles in New Photo, David Ayer and Ben Affleck Talk Batman Cameo and More DCU Details

On the heels of the two new TV spots for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes a new look at Suicide Squad, David Ayer’s take on the rag-tag team of super-villains who come together to defeat a threat far more villainous than their powers combined. In addition to the new photo, Ayer and Ben Affleck tease Batman’s cameo in the upcoming film, while Zack Snyder, Affleck and Henry Cavill talk Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman and the future of the DCU.

Another ‘Batman v Superman’ TV Spot Features a Little Passive Aggressive Introduction

EDIT

Following the debut of the first official TV spot, Warner Bros. has released another spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, this one expanding upon a scene previously teased in the trailer, in which Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent and Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne have a not-so-meet-cute at a party. While the first spot featured our heroes clashing a bit more aggressively in costume, this one offers a passive-aggressive meeting between the two men as their civilian alter-egos, interrupted by that weasel Lex Luthor.

‘Batman v Superman’ TV Spot Smashes Up the Batmobile

Just one look is all it takes for Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel to send the Batmobile conveniently careening into boxes of Gotham City gas (they keep gas in boxes there? What kind of city is this?). The latest TV spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is more of a clip, really, and shows us a brief glimpse of the scene in which Superman wrecks the Batmobile and the pair of heroes glare at each other…a lot.

Take a Look at the All-New Batcave in ‘Batman v Superman’

The Batcave is more than just Bruce Wayne’s headquarters in his unending fight against the crime the clogs the streets of Gotham, it’s his special place. His sanctuary. It’s where he can go to get away from it all, though the sophisticated rig of surveillance equipment also gives him unprecedented, questionably ethical access to it all. In the comics, the Batcave was where Batman kept all of his souvenirs from past battles (shout out to the Giant Penny), and in the Christopher Nolan pictures, it was the Morgan Freeman-played Lucius Fox’s fortress of moral ambiguity. But for the upcoming crossover film ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ the newly minted Batfleck will get a cave all his own.

‘Batman v Superman’ Rumor Clarifies a Couple of Things About Robin

Even before we saw Robin’s suit covered in graffiti in the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there have been rumors about the character’s involvement in Zack Snyder’s upcoming film — is Jason Todd dead? Is Dick Grayson dead? Will we see Carrie Kelley? All of these ideas are totally plausible, but if you’re looking to find out what’s really going on with the title given to Batman’s frequent sidekick / Boy Wonder, a new rumor may clear things up a bit.

‘Batman v Superman’ International Trailer Offers New Footage of Batman Fighting Superman

We’ve seen a lot of intimidating glares and one-liners exchanged between Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman in the Dawn of Justice trailers, but we haven’t seen too much of their actual fighting — you know, the actual Batman v Superman stuff. A new international trailer offers a little previously unreleased footage, featuring some of what the film’s title has promised.

‘Batman v Superman’: Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill Talk Bitter Batman, Consequences and Motives

There’s a whole lot going on in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice — iconic superheroes clashing, the introduction of a new Batman and all of his many (many, many) gadgets, Wonder Woman’s debut, mega-villains, mega-plots…but let’s hope that Snyder can deliver on his promise of creating grounded, interesting characters amid all that racket. In a new interview, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill talk a bit about those characters, their motivations and how things have changed since Man of Steel.
