But now that we’ve all gotten acclimated to this radical (and rad because that magazine cover was so very ’90s) change, how about even more new photos from the Thor sequel? Loki returns, Jeff Goldblum gets spacey, and Cate Blanchett goes full mystical-goth in these additional sneak peeks from Taika Waititi’s highly-anticipated sequel.

The latest issue of EW offers our first official look at the cast of Thor: Rangarok, and it’s certainly different — which actually might be a pretty good thing. The previous two films are widely considered lesser MCU entries, but with Taika Waititi behind the camera and promising a more humorous god of thunder, we’re looking forward to seeing a different side of Thor. That side is definitely present on this magazine cover, which also features Cate Blanchett as the villainous Hela and Tessa Thompson as the warrior Valkyrie.

Any list of the best movie remakes of all-time has to include Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven, a classy, canny update of the Rat Pack heist flick that originally starred Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Angie Dickinson. Soderbergh’s Ocean’s was an even more star-studded affair featuring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts. The critically acclaimed and commercially successful comedy ultimately spawned two sequels; together, the three Soderbergh Ocean’s made more than $1.1 billion worldwide, a number so large it would even impress Sinatra and Clooney’s Danny Ocean.

Cate Blanchett is a force unlike any other on screen. Over the years we’ve watched her bring her vivacity to characters like Galadriel, Bob Dylan, Katherine Hepburn, Carol Aird, and Queen Elizabeth I. If it wasn’t already clear that Blanchett is one of the greatest actors of our time, then Julian Rosefeldt’s Manifesto will be living proof of her ability to transform into any character she sets her sights on.

Despite being around for more than a century, one of the major failings of cinema as an art-form is that it hasn’t found a way to make an entire film where Cate Blanchett plays every single role. Thankfully, 2017 will bring that horrifying streak to a close with Manifesto, a film adaptation of the Julian Rosefeldt art installation that will feature Blanchett in a total of 13 different roles. The only downside is that we’re going to have a tough time adjusting back to the non-Cate Blanchett characters out there. It all seems like such a waste of time now.

For the past few weeks the film has been collecting star after star like a poker player scooping up thousand-dollar chips, and multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Sarah Paulson is the most recent to be in talks to join the fun.
