The G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.
2012 was the Year of the Channing Tatum (and rightfully so - dude was brilliant across the board). He starred in 'Magic Mike,' '21 Jump Street,' 'The Vow' and 'Haywire' (and would've starred in 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' had that film not been pushed back a year). He was named People's "Sexiest Man Alive" and Entertainment Weekly called him one of the "Entertainer of the Year." But all that could be coming to a close as Tatum is looking to take a break and focus on the next phase of his career: directing.
'Side Effects' is a psychological thriller not unlike director Steven Soderbergh's previous film, 'Contagion.' This film stars Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum and Jude Law wrapped up in the world of pharmaceutical research and experimentation that can have a devastating effect on people's lives. The film hits theaters in 2013 and you can watch the new trailer now.
With an opening weekend of $39 million and a total worldwide total of over $154 million, Steven Soderbergh's 'Magic Mike' ended up being one of this summer's most unexpected hits. (Even more so when considering its reported $7 million budget.) As is the case with any hit, a sequel is a no-brainer, and of course said sequel must raise the stakes and take our characters somewhere new and - in the case of a comedy - preferably wacky. You know what that means for Magic Mike and friends: road trip!!!
A lot can happen to a person 10 years after they graduate form high school. They could be somebody completely different compared to what they were all those years ago. Anchor Bay's new film '10 Years' gives us a glance at how time changes everyone once they depart from school and into the real world, including celebs.
There rumors before the film even came out that a '21 Jump Street' sequel was in the works. This is somewhat obviously confirmed by the film's ending that teases where Jenko and Schmidt would go in another installment. Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall (who wrote the original) were working on the script but no one expected things to move this quickly as Sony says filming is expected to begin this fall.
