For the less conventional among you, Margot Robbie has shared a new Suicide Squad poster capitalizing on the holiday and pulling double duty as a deranged Valentine’s Day card, celebrating the kind of sick love that only Harley Quinn and the Joker (and hopefully no one else, ever) could share.

Rather than debut a TV spot or a new teaser, Warner Bros. has unleashed its first non-trailer promo for Suicide Squad via Instagram — you know, because that’s where all the cool kids are these days, and Suicide Squad is a movie for cool kids who take 800 selfies and have a Hot Topic frequent shopper card and an ironic appreciation of Jared Leto’s Joker sporting a grill. Does David Ayer’s super villain movie have a type? Not really, but it’s fun to guess.

On the heels of the two new TV spots for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice comes a new look at Suicide Squad, David Ayer’s take on the rag-tag team of super-villains who come together to defeat a threat far more villainous than their powers combined. In addition to the new photo, Ayer and Ben Affleck tease Batman’s cameo in the upcoming film, while Zack Snyder, Affleck and Henry Cavill talk Batman v Superman, Wonder Woman and the future of the DCU.

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie looks like a lot of things: a gritty comic book movie, a super villain super-team-up, an action-packed anti-hero story, a showcase for Batman villain / career nut job Harley Quinn, etc. etc. It looks like a lot of things, but what it doesn’t look like is a love story. According to Ayer and Will Smith, there is actually a bit of a love story happening in Suicide Squad — actually, it’s more of a wacky love triangle.

Captain America: Civil War isn’t the only major superhero film that wrapped principal production this week — Bryan Singer completed his primary work on X-Men: Apocalypse, and David Ayer also finished the principal work on Suicide Squad.
