Guardians of the Galaxy
If you've seen the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Comic-Con footage - either legitimately in Hall H at Comic-Con or, perhaps less legitimately, with the online bootlegs - you're no doubt hooked (on a feelin'). But, will we ever get a chance to see an official, slightly-less-blurry version of that 'Guardians of the Galaxy' footage online, so that we may watch to our heart's content? No, probably not.
So, you're saying there's a chance. Uhh, no, actually there's a "zero percent chance" says director James Gunn.
'Guardians of the Galaxy' was featured briefly during Disney's D23 Expo this past weekend in California. According to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, who also screened footage from 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' and 'Thor: The Dark World,' the film is still under production in London, which explained why no preview other than a re-screening of the Comic-Con footage was available. However, photos from the 'Guardians' set have quickly leaked out and revealed an even closer look at these "superheroes in space."
Vin Diesel has been very coy when it comes to details regarding his ties with Marvel. He's teased possibilities before (is he starring in 'The Avengers 2'?!), but we've still yet to get anything resembling a confirmation. Well, we have now learned exactly what Marvel film he's joining, courtesy of the man himself. Is Vin lending his voice to one of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy'?
Marvel made a big splash with 'Guardians of the Galaxy' over the weekend at Comic-Con 2013, wowing the crowd with a brief trailer and bringing out the cast to prepare the audience for intergalactic awesomeness next summer. Today we're able to bring you a little closer to the film with a look at Marvel's 'Guardians' booth, featuring props and costumes!
There were a lot of big reveals at Comic-Con 2013, but none as accidental as the slip from actor Djimon Hounsou on the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' panel. While talking about his character, Korath, Hounsou revealed that he was close allies with both Ronan the Accuser (the film's main villain, played by Lee Pace) and Thanos in the film. Nearby, director James Gunn and Marvel president Kevin Feige shared a "whoops" look.
Later, Feige explained and elaborated on the role Thanos plays in the film.
If you weren't able to attend Comic-Con 2013 this weekend (or if you were there and didn't make it to Hall H on Saturday), you can now view the entire Marvel panel online and catch everything you missed, including 'Thor: The Dark World,' 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' and the announcement of 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron.'
