30 years after their comic book debut and several decades since they last ruled the box office, the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' returned this week and proved that they're as relevant and popular as ever. Although many people wondered if the...

'The Black Hole': The Worst Movie Ever Made?

Disney
Earlier this year, for some odd reason, a TMZ cameraman was stalking the famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The first question that the TMZ cameraman asked Tyson was about which movie was the most scientifically inaccurate. It’s almost remarkable how quickly Tyson answered this question. It was almost as if all time and space merged at the particular moment, because Tyson’s answer seemed to come before the question was even finished – as if the sheer weight of Tyson’s answer was so heavy that even light itself couldn’t escape. Tyson’s answer, “The original Disney movie, ‘The Black Hole.’ It was embarrassing!.”

When it was announced that Josh Brolin would be the actor behind the villainous "Mad Titan" Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you were hard-pressed to find anyone with a bad thing to say about it. You don't complain when an actor as good as Brolin takes on one of the most famous and powerful comic book supervillains of all time. In true Marvel Studios fashion, the actor has remained fairly quiet about his work on the character, but he recently spilled the first details about the part and his role in the Marvel movies.

Mark Duplass is an interesting fellow. It's not really accurate to describe him as "famous" -- even he admits that he can walk around unbothered pretty much everywhere, and that's exactly the way he likes it. It was only in 'Tammy' -- a movie that he has a lot of opinions on why it didn't work -- did he start to feel the pangs of fame. And he didn't like that feeling one bit and wants no part of your 'Guardians of the Galaxy' or Marvel or 'Star Wars' type movies. Well ... that is unless, of course, someone actually asked him to do one of those types of movies.

Although 'Guardians of the Galaxy' has already been in theaters for several days now, that's not keeping Marvel from releasing some fun 'Guardians' goodies -- like this latest featurette, in which Chris Pratt takes a very MTV's 'Cribs'-style approach to showing us around Peter Quill/Star-Lord's spaceship, the Milano.

Thanos is Really Bad at Being a Supervillain

Marvel
We first met the cinematic version of Thanos in 2012 -- his face smiling at us during a mid-credits sequence of ‘The Avengers,’ there to let us know that this guy is the mastermind behind the whole operation. OK then! Eventually we learn that Thanos is trying to collect the Infinity Stones, because if he has those, he will become a god. Fair enough. Though, now, after ten movies in the Marvel cinematic universe – ten! – Thanos has a grand total of zero Infinity Stones. So far, Thanos is terrible at being a supervillain.

Reel Women: 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Leaves Us Wanting More Gamora

When you head to the theater to see 'Guardians of the Galaxy' this weekend, you'll undoubtedly walk out with a favorite character: the surprisingly lovable Groot, the foul-mouthed Rocket Raccoon, the charismatic Star-Lord, the tough but hilarious Drax -- or maybe you'll fall in love with Zoe Saldana's green-skinned, badass Gamora. With all that screen time shared between so many heroes (and villains, and peripheral characters), it'll leave you wanting to see more of Gamora and her talents. Not that that's a bad thing.
