It's been over a year since we've gotten an update on the new Little House on the Prairie movie. Last we heard, David Gordon Green had exited the project and was replaced by Martha Marcy May Marlene director and indie favorite Sean Durkin. And...that's it. All's been quiet on the prairie since then. Today brings news that Little House on the Prairie has moved over to Paramount, which means the project may be closer to actually happening.
Little House on the Prairie
There's been a 'Little House on the Prairie' movie in the works for some time now, and while that doesn't sound like a likely revival when you look at the current crop of reboots and adaptations of classic series, it's certainly one of the more interesting projects in the pipeline. Previously, the project had David Gordon Green attached to direct, but now it's found someone new to sit in the director's chair: 'Martha Marcy May Marlene' helmer Sean Durkin. Given these choices, are we looking at a bit of a darker take on 'Little House'?
You had to know this day was coming eventually: the 'Little House on the Prairie' movie is coming. And while that seems like a forgone conclusion, we don't think anyone expected it would come to us from the director of 'Pineapple Express' and 'Your Highness'...
