Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice just gets curiouser and curiouser. Earlier today, Warner Bros. released a totally bizarre (to say the least) deleted scene from the film, which appeared to incorporate a couple of crucial elements from the DC comic book universe. Although ultimately cut from the theatrical version, Zack Snyder confirms that at least one of those things appears elsewhere in the film — you may have spotted it during Cyborg’s cameo.

Before Ang Lee began production on Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, the director was set to follow Life of Pi with another 3D film, moving the action from the ocean to the boxing ring with the story of Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali’s legendary match. The untitled film has found new life as Lee has moved the project from Universal to Studio 8, with Ray Fisher and Selma’s David Oyelowo emerging as frontrunners for the main event.

Faster than a speeding bullet, Comic-Con is upon once again. The biggest, nerdiest party in the world kicks off on Wednesday in San Diego and, yes, Team ScreenCrush will be on hand to cover it all. With Marvel, Sony, and Paramount, all sitting out this year’s big geek bash, the clear #1 panel to anticipate is Warner Bros. Saturday morning showcase of their upcoming slate. The presentation will include clips from the new live-action Pan starring Hugh Jackman, and the movie version of the ’60s spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E. But the star attraction is unquestionably an appearance by Zack Snyder and the stars of next spring’s hotly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

For anyone who remembers the days when just one Spider-Man movie seemed an impossible dream, it’s an astonishing representation of how comic book superheroes now dominate popular entertainment. Most of the focus on the upcoming 'Justice League' movie has been on Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman. Primarily because those are the most well-known characters and we know the actors playing them (Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa, respectively.) But, there's one additional member of the Justice League that will be joining the team and has already filming his 'Batman vs. Superman' appearance: Cyborg.

Since Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot joined the cast of 'Batman vs. Superman,' we've been wondering how much of the film would function as 'Justice League: Origins.' Now that Ray Fisher has joined the cast as Cyborg, there's no mistaking that the film is meant to launch DC's version of 'The Avengers.'
