We heard the rumor earlier this month, but it's official: Rosamund Pike has officially joined David Fincher's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's bestselling novel 'Gone Girl.' The 'Jack Reacher' and 'The World's End' actress beat out seemingly every leading lady in Hollywood and, if Fincher brings his usual game, it may be the role that shoots her to the top of the A-list.

There's been a ton of casting speculation involved in David Fincher's upcoming adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel 'Gone Girl,' with names like Charlize Theron (who's starring in another Flynn adaptation, 'Dark Places') and Reese Witherspoon (who is producing the film but not starring) being tossed about, but now it looks like Fincher may have found his leading lady.

Though it starts shooting in a month, we haven't heard too much about the casting for Edgar Wright's 'The World's End.' Sure, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are in it - it is the supposed final chapter of their Cornetto trilogy - but the trio have often scored some great British actors for their supporting cast. Now they've added a Bond girl.
