Is a New 'Silver Surfer' Movie Coming? Stan Lee Says Yes!

We all know that Marvel is currently developing 'Ant-Man', 'Black Panther', 'Doctor Strange' and a few other properties for the next phase of their cinematic universe, but one character we haven't heard any updates on is Silver Surfer. So will we ever see the Surfer hop aboard his own movie? One guy in the know - Stan Lee - thinks so!

When it comes to comic book movies, we're a little spoiled these days. But you don't have to think back very far to a time when movies based on comic books were a rarity and good movies based on comic books almost didn't exist.
But that wasn't necessarily for a lack of trying. In the 1980s, Marvel and producer Lee Kramer tried to get a Silver Surfer movie made. Obviously that project never happened but now we have our first look at what it would've looked like.

Things get a little tricky when some of your characters belong to another studio -- such is the case with Marvel Studios and Fox. Fox wants Joe Carnahan on the 'Daredevil' reboot, but those rights are going to run out soon. Solution: Fox and Marvel are discussing a trade that would give Silver Surfer and Galactus back to Marvel in exchange for more time with the blind superhero.
