Not unlike the Wu-Tang, Star Wars is for the children. Not in the most literal sense, of course — fans of all ages can enjoy the sci-fi franchise’s galactic thrills and sand-related koans — but in a moral sense. Over the weekend at Los Angeles’ Gallery 1988, a new exhibit called “Art Awakens” featured a host of pieces pertaining to the inescapable franchise of adventure films, with all proceeds from the sale of said items going to support UNICEF Kid Power.

At this point it’s totally fair if you want to stop watching promos for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Although Disney and Lucasfilm initially took a more measured approach in their release of trailers, it looks like all bets are off in the month leading up to the film’s release as we’ve been flooded with TV spots, featurettes and all kinds of new info. The marketing machine hasn’t slowed down a bit, as today brings another new spot for The Force Awakens featuring even more new footage, as well as some details on Kylo Ren’s mysterious crossguard lightsaber.

While we won’t be seeing another full trailer for The Force Awakens before it hits theaters next month, that hasn’t stopped Disney and Lucasfilm from delivering more new footage from the latest chapter in the Star Wars franchise. Over the past week we’ve seen a Japanese trailer, a TV spot, a special preview on ABC, several new photos and lots and lots of character details. Today brings another look at The Force Awakens featuring even more new footage, in case you were feeling particularly greedy.

And the Star Wars details keep coming. If you thought we were done learning about the characters and plot of The Force Awakens this week, you were wrong. We have one more little info dump for you, this time concerning Domhnall Gleeson’s mysterious antagonist General Hux and that huge, imposing weapon known as Starkiller Base — and no, it’s no coincidence that it resembles the Death Star.

It started out as a sort of interesting bit of trivia for Star Wars fans: the adorable new droid first introduced in last year’s teaser for The Force Awakens is actually a girl. BB-8 has already become one of the upcoming film’s most popular characters, and while gendering a robot seems a little silly, it was neat to know that in addition to having Daisy Ridley playing a leading role in the next phase of the Star Wars saga, something as small and seemingly irrelevant as the gender of a droid was being given more nuanced consideration. And that’s when things got complicated.

This new bit of footage comes from an appearance on Disney XD UK (a similar version, but with an American host instead, will air tonight in the U.S.) where we see some very brief glimpses at the new movie. What’s interesting — aside from the new bits that include hearing General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) for the first time — is that some of these shots are familiar, yet completely different.

It’s not that Meryl Streep is going to earn her kajillionth nod this year — her chances with Ricki and the Flash or Suffragette are, shall we say, slim — or that the ghost of Edith Head has returned from beyond the impeccably designed veil to earn yet another prize for her costuming talents.

If you didn’t tune into ABC’s TGIT tonight to catch the debut of the new preview for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, then you’re in luck — the footage has arrived online, and although it features some familiar sequences re-edited in a different order, there are a couple of new pieces of footage we haven’t seen before.

Over the last couple of days we’ve learned and seen quite a bit from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including several new photos and details on Princess (or not) Leia, Rey’s background, the First Order Stormtroopers and, earlier today, intel on Andy Serkis’ mysterious, villainous Snoke. As promised, we have even more details regarding a couple of important characters in the film, and we’re closer to answering everyone’s favorite question: Where’s Luke Skywalker?
