Is it August 1 yet? Almost! But while we wait (impatiently) for the release of Marvel's intergalactic superhero epic 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' today brings a new featurette exploring the background and motives of the Guardians' green-skinned and deadly assassin, Gamora.

We've already seen 17 minutes of Marvel's upcoming space opera, 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' including an extended scene and one badass sizzle reel. However, this new sci-fi world still has more nooks and crannies to explore, and 27 new photos from the film have debuted to help us traverse unknown terrain.

On Monday night, July 7, Marvel teamed with the folks at IMAX to screen 17 minutes of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' for fans ahead of the film's August 1 release.
