'Taken 2' is in theaters next weekend but if that film gets you excited for yet another movie chock full of Liam Neeson kicking butt, don't get too excited. 'Taken 3' isn't happening any time soon says Neeson himself.

In an interview with Empire Magazine, Neeson was asked about a possible third installment and turning 'Taken' (the unlikeliest franchise in recent history) into a trilogy. Said Neeson:

I don't see it. I don't think it's going to happen. I really don't. I can't see a possible scenario where audiences wouldn't go, 'Oh, come on...! She's taken again?'

And you know what? He's absolutely right. Neeson was contractually obligated to return for 'Taken 2' but he's smart enough to realize that this is a franchise that can't keep going on. Even with 'Taken 2' people are starting with the "she's taken again?" comments so a third would just be overkill.

But let's hope this doesn't mean the end of Liam Neeson: Action Star. It's a great new era to his career and one we hope doesn't go away anytime soon. 'Taken 2' hits theaters on October 5th.
