After months of casting news for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,' we are pleased to announce that production has finally, officially begun on the sequel. And that's not all -- director Francis Lawrence has announced a special contest for fans to win a visit to the set of the film!

'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' has begun principal production on location in Atlanta, Georgia. More shooting will occur in Hawaii, using the local beaches and jungles as additional sets before wrapping this December. The film will be released on November 22, 2013, just in time for Th11anksgiving -- teens forced into killing other teens is totally appropriate for the turkey holiday, don't you think?

Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Donald Sutherland, Lenny Kravitz, and Stanley Tucci will all reprise their roles from the first film alongside new additions Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Amanda Plummer, and Jena Malone. No word yet on Wes Bentley or his glorious beard shapes.

The film follows Katniss and Peeta as they embark on a "victor's tour," but things don't stay peaceful for too long -- the Quarter Quell (the 75th annual Hunger Games) approaches, rebellion is building throughout the districts, and President Snow is preparing for the game that could very well change everything.

But wait! There's more! Fans can enter a set visit contest at CatchingFireSweeps.com from September 10 (that's today) through October 12, which offers 12 of you the chance to visit the set and hang with the cast and crew.
