Yesterday, we got our first peek at Ridley Scott’s upcoming film The Martian, featuring a very lonely Matt Damon as an astronaut stranded on Mars (hence the title, obviously). Today brings a batch of new images from the film, featuring even more shots of Damon all alone on the red planet, plus a bonus photo confirming that yes, there are other people in this movie — namely, Kristen Wiig.

20th Century Fox released more images from The Martian via Entertainment Weekly and People, and a few of them are in keeping with what we saw yesterday, with Damon’s astronaut Mark Watney hanging out on the dusty planet all by his lonesome. But there’s also another image of Damon that looks a bit different — in this one, he’s in the dark, using a flashlight to examine what appears to be plant life, thus answering David Bowie’s eternal question about life on Mars, or something.

There’s also a photo of Kristen Wiig looking rather smug, perhaps happy to be cast in what’s a pretty unexpected role for the former SNL star.

The Martian is based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir, and centers on Watney, an astronaut who is left stranded on Mars following his mission to the planet. Presumed dead, Watney must rely on his wits to survive on his remaining supplies as he tries to send a signal back to Earth. Meanwhile, NASA scientists are working to bring Watney back home, while his crew members plan an incredibly dangerous rescue mission.

The Martian also stars Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeff Daniels and Donald Glover, and hits theaters on November 25.
