Because he had three movies come out in quick succession, it felt like Ryan Gosling was everywhere last fall, but for the last year cinema has been Gosling-free. Which is too bad as some fans have been suffering from Gosling withdrawal and to make up for it the internet resorted to memes. Well, take heart Gosling groupies, he's got two movies due out in the next couple months and now there's a trailer for 'The Place Beyond the Pines.'

The film was directed by 'Blue Valentine' helmer Derek Cianfrance, and co-stars Eva Mendes, Bradley Cooper and Rose Byrne. Gosling stars as a carny bike rider who enters a life of crime in order to support his child. Cooper plays a cop who looks to arrest him until his partners decide to just take Gosling's loot instead. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it received mostly mixed reviews, which may be why it's not coming out in limited release this week for Oscar consideration. Instead it comes out March 29.

Here's the synopsis:

Luke (Ryan Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son. But when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Bradley Cooper), their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud. The Place Beyond the Pines is a rich dramatic thriller, tracing the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains.
