'The Simpsons' has been on for so long that no corner of Springfield hasn't been explored, and no casual reference hasn't been transformed into a full-fledged character or storyline. Well, at least we thought so! It looks like the 26th season of the long-running program managed to find one sliver of Springfield that's been left unmentioned and Fox enlisted Will Forte to help demystify it.

According to TVLine, the show cast the 'Saturday Night Live' and 'MacGruber' veteran as the owner of King Toot's Music Store, the shop that's been located next to Moe's Tavern for the better part of 30 years. Although the store has been frequently seen (and visited, most notably in the season 3 episode "Lisa's Pony"), this is apparently the first time we'll meet the man who runs the joint.

To the uninitiated, that may not seem like much, but to 'Simpsons' fans who revel in the absurd amount of detail and minutiae that the show creates, it's another piece in television's most sprawling puzzle.

The details of the episode remain unknown, but executive producer Matt Selman hinted that Forte's character does not have a healthy relationship with Moe or his disgusting bar. "Do they get along? I don’t think so.”

This really encapsulates the power of 'The Simpsons.' Sixteen years past its prime, and it's still filling in the blanks and inspiring curiosity about the comings and goings of Springfield's denizens.
